Arriving in America circa 1850, my great-grandfather, Emilio Ernesto Cavaleri, brought with him a small leather writing case handcrafted from the finest Italian leather. Upon inheriting this family heirloom, I discovered that it still contained some personal notes,a letter dated 1888, and one of his original business cards. As I held this beautiful old writing case, I was extremly proud to know that we utilize the same time-honoured techniques in the tradition of the great European leathersmiths.
